2014 Vintage • 91/100 Vinous (USA) •90/100 Tim Atkin Report (UK)
Sourced from a selection of either cool maritime or alpine sites, the 2015 Mulderbosch Sauvignon Blanc expresses a wonderful spectrum of bracing varietal and site related traits. The complex nose of green fig, nettle and gooseberry aromas has real intensity, heralding the wine’s pedigree. Characterised by a zesty grapefruit texture, the palate possesses a bracing mineral core, and thrilling fruit avours of freshly sliced rock melon and ripe green gs. In harmony these elements create an amazingly intense, beautifully balanced wine with a sensationally long after taste.
Pair it with oven-baked goat's cheese, chicken à la king, char-grilled artichokes, grilled line fish and shellfish, seafood paella, oysters, calamari and smoked salmon.
For a quarter century, this Stellenbosch vineyard has produced sensational white, red and rosé wines. Revered wine author John Platter has called Mulderbosch Sauvignon Blanc ”South Africa’s most celebrated Sauvignon” and this jewel of the Cape Winelands is not to be missed!
