Cape Point Vineyards signature Sauvignon Blanc contains a dash of Semillon and the use of oak to create a white wine that showcases beautiful fruit forward aromas on the nose, that follow through to a well-balanced, yet complex mouth feel that ends with a long lingering finish.

This Sauvignon Blanc offers a floral notes of orchids, white fruits, ripe nectarine, pink grapefruit and fig. The wine’s palate is full and flavoured with racy acidity and a salty finish. Hints of oak spice gives the wine an extra layer of depth.
The style of wine offers diversity – it is light enough to enjoy, well chilled, on it’s own. Yet offers enough weight and complexity to make it a wonderful food wine.

Food Pairing
Food and wine pairings include white cheeses such as chevin and brie. pasta’s, poultry and fish with green leafy vegetables such as basil pesto and kale, or tomatoes and olives.

Cape Point Vineyards is uniquely located in the Cape Peninsula, where it is set rather majestically against the slopes of the famous Chapman’s Peak mountain range and overlooks the nearby Atlantic Ocean – a mere 2km’s away. Cool sea breezes along with ancient mountain soils make for a unique terroir with a late growing season, that results in a world class Sauvignon Blanc with minerals tones and great complexity.
