The La Motte Sauvignon Blanc has a greeny straw colour. On the nose, gooseberry is the first impression, followed by pineapple, lime and wild grass. With low alcohol, acid and residual sugar, one would expect a thin wine; with this wine it is not the case, though. The palate is well balanced, well polished and medium-round, with a clean, dry and refreshing finish.

Food Pairing
With its natural acidity and acute texture, this wine pairs beautifully with seafood’s, seafood pasta and spicy foods such as Chinese and Thai dishes. Also goes extremely well with dishes containing acute seasonings, and salty eats such as pre-dinner canapés. Natural partner to goat’s cheese. On its own, a refreshing aperitif wine.


The Estate
The winery La Motte belongs to the oldest wineries in South Africa and is located in the famous viniculture region Stellenbosch. Years of experience and a successful tradition allow high class wines of an exceptional quality to be produced on the estate year after year. 

Ageing

The La Motte Sauvignon Blanc is a fresh white wine which is best opened right away in order to wholly experience its full character. It can nevertheless be stored in the cellar for a few years.
