Michelangelo Double Gold- 2019 Vintage
SA Wine Index - 93.9 points Awards
A consistent performer and one of our bestselling white wines. Light straw in colour. Lots of gooseberry on the nose, together with lemon and tropical notes. Very polished and silky on the palate. Higher acidity than in other years, but well balanced by the almost medium- bodied weight. The finish is juicy, light and lingering with a fresh finish.
The Estate
The winery La Motte belongs to the oldest wineries in South Africa and is located in the famous viniculture region Stellenbosch. Years of experience and a successful tradition allow high class wines of an exceptional quality to be produced on the estate year after year.
Ageing
The La Motte Sauvignon Blanc is a fresh white wine which is best opened right away in order to wholly experience its full character. It can nevertheless be stored in the cellar for a few years.
