Platter’s Guide – 3.5*
Drink’s International 2020 Most Admired Wine Brand in Africa & the Middle East
A full bodied, dry style of rosé with a subtle onion skin colour. Inviting aromas of ripe melon, candyfloss, rose water and summer berries are present on the nose. The flavour profile is packed with juicy raspberry and cherry fruit. The bright acidity and delicate nature of this wine makes it fit for any occasion. Ideally served chilled between 8 - 10 ̊C.
The grapes were crushed and immediately pressed to prevent too much colour extraction. The juice was cold fermented at 130C until dry. Kept on the lees for 3 months prior to bottling.

The Estate
Situated on the lower slopes of Simonsberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, the fourth-generation family-run estate of Kanonkop sports 120 hectares devoted entirely to red grape varietals. To many, Kanonkop is considered to be the South African equivalent of a Premier Cru or First Growth. For others, Kanonkop is not just a wine estate. It is a place of natural beauty where hospitality, family values, tradition, history and interesting characters are as integral to our ability to create magnificent wines as the ancient decomposed granite soils, the cool air from the Atlantic Ocean and the old dryland vineyards.
