De Krans Cape Pink is created from touriga national, tinta barocca and tinta amarella, three typical port varietals. Allowing only a few hours of skin contact during fermentation gave the juice a wonderful colour, and the juice was then cool-fermented for around five days before being fortified with unmatured brandy spirit. As a result, the port has a nice vivid blush colour to it.
An inviting rose petal pink colour. The bouquet is soft and elegant with red fruit flavours of strawberries and cherries. The taste is smooth and elegant with a taste of cherries and plums and a hint of candyfloss. De Krans Cape Pink is best served with crushed ice or a creative mix of your favourite mixers as a cocktail at the pool or as a welcome drink during the hot summer months.
