The wine has an intense deep garnet colour with stunning clarity. The aromas on the nose are classic for this style of wine. Heady notes of cassis, black berries and dark cherries. There is a slight herbal .lift and freshness to the nose with hints of tomato puree and tomato leaf and the typical hint of mint which is indicative of its origin.

Food Pairing
Gourmets like serving the Tokara Director’s Reserve Red in interplay with veal or grilled filet steak. It is also an ideal companion for grilled meat or mature hard cheese though.

Grape

67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet Franc & 5% Malbec
The Tokara Director’s Reserve Red is a fruity blend from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Cabernet Sauvignon constitutes the largest part and delivers the intense currant aromas. Merlot ensures a soft and velvety tannin structure. Together with the other grape varieties, the winemakers created a blend that has a very special character.
