The Tokara Director’s Reserve White presents itself to gourmets with a golden colour with green flecks in the glass. Fragrant aromas of cassis fill the air, supported by the scent of lemon grass, passion fruit and toasted brioche. On the palate, this cuvee is rich, complex and fruity with intensive flavours of lime and guava. The Tokara Director’s Reserve White ends with a full body and a crisp and lingering finish.

Food Pairing
The Tokara Director’s Reserve White is delicious on its own or with a variety of tasty dishes. For example, the combination with roasted quail or duck is a true taste adventure!

The Tokara Director’s Reserve White consists of the two famous grape varieties Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. The first constitutes by far the larger part of this cuvee and mostly delivers aromatic and sprightly white wines with nuances of gooseberries, grass or also tropical fruits. The smaller part Sémillon perfectly harmonies with the enticing acidity of the Sauvignon Blanc. Sémillon generally makes for sumptuous, sweet white wines with notes of honey or orange marmalade.

The Estate
Tokara is located in the worldwide famous viniculture region Stellenbosch. Due to the prevailing Mediterranean climate, the vines of the estate can thrive and therefore deliver such exquisite products such as the Tokara Director’s Reserve White.

Gourmets highly enjoy the Tokara Director’s Reserve White when they open the bottle today yet due to its fantastic potential, it can spend many years in the cellar. After the harvest, the white cuvee matured in old and some new barrels of French oak for a total of nine months.
