Rose petal, smokey spice and plum skin flavours. Handpicked grapes, cooled overnight.  Grapes were cold soaked and partially natural fermented while minimal extraction was done. Maturing separately in older oak barrels.

Winemaker Marras Lamprecht has produced a superb blend here, using 10% of whole bunches. Showing complex aromatic nuances of rose petals, violets and sappy grilled herbs, the palate is supple and fleshy yet also displays a weightless concentration of red berry fruit, plum spice and savoury woodsmoke.

The Estate
A contemporary range of modern wines produced by Martin Lamprecht, also known as Marras. Martin was mentored by David Nieuwoudt of Cederberg wines fame who fostered his determination to make a mark amidst weathered vines in the harsh soil of the Swartland and Piekenierskloof regions of the Cape. Marras Wines are crafted with care and dedication by a passionate team of wine enthusiasts in the Swartland and Piekenierskloof regions of the Western Cape of South Africa. Lead by Martin ‘Marras’ Lamprecht, a son of the soil through and through, the Marras team seeks to frame the unique, wild beauty and sun-drenched character of the unspoiled hinterland from where they source their grapes by finding the most fascinating parcels of grapes and allowing each varietal to express itself fully in the cellar.
