Gordon Wright is an author, chef and raconteur based in the Great Karoo. The youngest of eight children, he set the standard for modern Karoo cuisine with his first cookbook – Veld to Fork. He is an ex-restaurateur, the founder of the Karoo Convivia and a member of the national executive of Slow Food International in South Africa. Gordon is a passionate cook, charcutier, outdoorsman, wine drinker, writer, husband and dad (not necessarily in that order). He is married to Rose and has two sons, Jason and Max, and a massive family of siblings, friends and pets. And he just loves a fire and to braai, of course.
