The Hermanuspietersfontein Nr.7 was created by the Master of SA Sauvignon Blanc, Bartho Eksteen.
This wine is brilliantly clear with a vibrant touch of green. The nose is dynamic with notes of fig, buchu, asparagus and green apple, while the body is equally vibrant with crisp acidity and substantial length. A hint of minerality may be perceived; a result of the maritime terroir.
Pair it with oysters and lemon, goat’s cheese, or apple and rocket salad with mascarpone cheese. Drink Now, Crisp Dry White, Unwooded
Sauvignon blanc, with a potentially small percentage of Semillon and Nouvelle
The gentle Atlantic breeze caresses the rolling vineyards at Hermanuspietersfontein wine estate to create truly spectacular nutrient-rich wines. Situated in the mountains near Stanford, this remarkable wine estate is the champion farm of the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative, having been a member since 2007. Natural fauna such as leopards, duikers, reebok, cerval, and baboons roam free over the 320 hectares of the fynbos-rich Hermanuspietersfontein Boerdery. First named in 1855, the Hermanuspietersfontein farm and winery is under the careful control of the Pretorius family, the winemaker Bartho Eksteen, and Gerrie Heyneke.
