Fresh and lively with hints of ripe gooseberry and white pear leading the bouquet. Tropical avours abound on the palate with a fresh acidity supporting the nish into a lingering structure and a lengthy dry nish.
Early ripening conditions saw the first fruit arrive at the cellar mid-way through January. Although the drought conditions persisted, ideal weather conditions throughout the growing season and harvest resutled in healthy fruit and small berries showing great flavrous and exceptional acids. A truly exceptional vintage by all accounts.
"Anthonij Rupert Wyne proudly introduces the Protea Range. Everything about this range seeks to marry the old with the new. The heritage of the vines, innovatively tied into distinctive packaging designs, is made to be re-used and recycled, thus prolonging the lifecycle of the product. While we are celebrating Cape wine culture, we have stripped it down to some of the defining elements of the landscape, irrevocably tying the brand to the land. We invite you to be the judge!"
