Platter Awards 4*
2017 Sommerliers Selection Award Winner - Voluptuous and Rich Reds
A Cape institution, produced for more than half a century. This popular red wine consists of an exquisite blend of four varietals – Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Powerful berry fruit with cigar box and dark chocolate followed by vanilla and oak spices. A true reflection of 2015. Elegant but powerful, medium to full bodied, soft ripe tannins. Each varietal is hand-picked from trellised vineyards, growing in Hutton and Glenrosa soils.
Excellent on its own or served with simply- flavoured red meat, game and duck dishes.
Shiraz (34%) Cabernet Sauvignon (23 %) Cabernet Franc (21%) Merlot (17%) and Petit Verdot (5%)
